April 2018 Food Drive Update!

Thank you all! 186.5 pounds of food were collected in the last month. 

That total is almost 100 pounds over our normal collection amount. 

We are so thankful to have so many wonderful customers that support us!

Celebrate Earth Month With Bloom Recyclers!

 In celebration of Earth Month we are hosting our annual 

Kids Coloring Sweepstakes!

Entry forms can be picked up in our main office. 

We will also be handing them out at the Nature Center on 4/21/2018.

With the changes in the plastic market we have limited the plastics we can take. 

In order to keep accepting plastics from the public, we need your help! 

Please only drop off the plastics we currently take for recycling. 

We have had a lot of garbage dropped in our plastic bins. This garbage must be sorted out and then sent to the transfer station, which is costly. We want to help keep plastic out of the landfill, but we cannot do it alone.

March 2018 Food Drive update!

Thank you to everyone that helped us on our last round of food donations. We were able to collect 88 pounds of non-perishable foods to be donated to those in need.

Not only are you recycling when you recycle with us, you are also contributing to our community.

PLASTICS!

We have had numerous customers asking about household plastic recycling. Some cities have stopped accepting all plastics in curbside recycling. We want to let our community know what we are doing to help and what plastics we can accept.

These plastics are all collected as a community service and are nonprofit at this point. We really want to keep Utah green and reduce the plastic impact on our environment. We can currently only accept the household plastics listed below. If other plastics are turned in with these, we may discontinue accepting plastics from the public.

With all the changes in the plastic markets here is what we are currently accepting: 

• HDPE 2
• Milk Jugs
• Must have HDPE 2 symbol on bottoms
• Must be empty, clean and rinsed

• PETE 1
• Water bottles and Soda bottles
• Must have PETE 1 on the bottom
• ​Must be empty. Rinsing is up to the customer
• Rinsing reduces risk of insects and other pests​

Lids from the bottles are accepted with the items.

Each plastic type must be separated.
